Tea-Bags Like Hanging!

First news of my day, via Huffington Post: “Montana Tea Party Leader Axed Over Comments Concerning Hanging Of Homosexuals.”

Now, I’m glad they “axed” Tim Ravndal. Here’s an excerpt:

According to a report from the Helena Independent Record, former Big Sky Tea Party president Tim Ravndal had the following exchange posted on his Facebook profile back in July:

Tim Ravndal: “Marriage is between a man and a woman period! By giving rights to those otherwise would be a violation of the constitution and my own rights”

Keith Baker: “How dare you exercise your First Amendment Rights?”

Dennis Scranton: “I think fruits are decorative. Hang up where they can be seen and appreciated. Call Wyoming for display instructions.”

Tim Ravndal: “@Kieth, OOPS I forgot this aint America no more! @Dennis, Where can I get that Wyoming printed instruction manual?”

Dennis Scranton: “Should be able to get info Gazette archives. Maybe even an illustration. Go back a bit over ten years.”

This is unacceptable, outrageous, disgusting, and shows the hate that is the Tea Party. They can claim it’s just a few bigots who got in by mistake, but when these events consistently happen, they aren’t “one-off” occurrences, they ARE the norm for the Tea Party. Let’s not forget the last Tea Party leader fired for hatred and racism that was even too extreme for those bigots.

(Amazingly, this was on Facebook for over a month and it took them that long to say, “Oh, wait, maybe this doesn’t make us look good?”)

Make NO mistake. This is where we’re going, folks. The GOP/Tea Party has become the most vile, bigoted, hate-mongers in America. And they’re not even trying to hide it these days.

And it’s not the first time a radical right bigot has advocated LYNCHING HOMOSEXUALS.

The radical right, including the Tea Party and members of the GOP are putting inexperienced, un-educated, un-tested nobodies (and homeless people to siphon off votes) into local, state, and even national politics, and we will all suffer under their particular brand of hate, homophobia, and incompetence.

All of which is to say, GET EVERYONE YOU KNOW TO VOTE IN NOVEMBER.This is not the time to “teach Democrats a lesson.” We’re fighting for our lives. Literally.
